Coaching Staff
Assistant Coach Brock Anderson joined the Tiger staff in Fall 2006. He serves as the hitting & infield coach and also assists with recruiting. Anderson, a native of Seward, Nebraska, was a starter on the baseball team at Midland Lutheran College before transferring to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Anderson spent the past four years coaching high school and American Legion baseball. In 2005, his American Legion team won the Class C Seniors State Tournament. Anderson is a physical education teacher at Belmont Elementary in the Lincoln Public School District.
Assistant Coach Josh Oltmans joined the Tigers in the summer of 2007 as recruiting coordinator after graduating from Dakota Wesleyan University. While at Dakota Wesleyan, Oltmans was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete his senior year and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and a minor in communications. Before playing at Dakota Wesleyan, Oltmans played for Coach Jorgensen at McCook Community College. He served as a co-captain at MCC and was an Academic All-American. During his college career Oltmans was a pitcher and an outfielder. He also played in the Boise Collegiate Summer League in Idaho. Coach Oltmans has coached legion baseball in Los Lunas, New Mexico and his home town of Nelson, Nebraska. Josh is a certified Hardstyle Kettlebell (HKC) instructor and works in the Doane Admission Office.
Graduate Asst. Coach/Head JV Coach CJ Zeller joined the Doane coaching staff for the 2010 season after serving as the Head Baseball Coach at Prairie Home High School in Prairie Home, Missouri, in Fall 2009. Previous to working at Prairie Home, Zeller was the Manager of the Sikeston Bulls of the NCAA sanctioned K.I.T (Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee) League. The 2009 Bulls set a franchise record in wins and produced four K.I.T. League All-Stars. He also had K.I.T. experience as the Associate Manager of the Farmington Firebirds in 2008. Zeller has had two previous stints coaching college baseball, serving as an assistant at Central Methodist University (2007-2009) and Harris-Stowe State University (2007). During his coaching career, he has seen five of his players sign professional baseball contracts. Zeller played intercollegiate baseball at Harris-Stowe State University and Central Methodist University. He resides in Lincoln.
